A significant step in Libya’s sustainable development journey took place in early March, with the launch of an EU initiative to foster renewable energy in Libya.
The chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) has confirmed that Libya’s oil production is set to exceed 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd) by the end of 2025, and 2 million by 2027.
In further signs of Libya’s growing presence in renewables, the Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) held a meeting with China’s TBEA company earlier in March.
