Eltumi Partners is delighted to announce that Ahmed Gaddah has joined the firm as a partner.
Ahmed brings to the firm a depth of legal experience and expertise in the energy sector, and related infrastructure. With prior positions as General Counsel at Libya’s National Oil Corporation and European energy giant Oilinvest, Ahmed has worked on major projects, transactions and disputes spanning multiple continents and jurisdictions.
His experience of market-leading energy deals is significant: he worked on the development of Libya’s EPSA IV model contract and subsequent bidding rounds which attracted billions of dollars of inward investment. Similarly, he helped negotiate Shell’s licencing for operations over the ‘super-giant’ Majnoon oilfield in southern Iraq.
“As part of the firm’s team, clients will benefit from Ahmed’s multi-jurisdictional knowhow, his experience in advising on major international and Libyan energy matters, as well as his solution-oriented approach to complex matters” said firm founding partner Tarek Eltumi. “Ahmed’s abilities add further depth and dimension to the energy and infrastructure expertise of the Eltumi Partners team, and we are delighted to welcome him into the fold.”
“I am very excited to be joining the team at Eltumi Partners and supporting the firm’s work in the energy sector in particular,” said Ahmed. “I look forward to continuing to build out the firm’s international practice as we work with clients to realise potential in energy matters in Libya and at an international level.”
Please join us in welcoming Ahmed to the firm.
