Eltumi Partners' Tarek Eltumi will join the speaker lineup for a session on International Arbitration in North Africa: An Insider’s Perspective during Paris Arbitration Week on 27 March 2026.
The panel will provide a practice-led view of arbitration in North Africa, drawing on experience from counsel and practitioners working in and from the region. Discussion will address how arbitration operates in practice, including the interaction between arbitral tribunals and domestic courts, governing law considerations and the procedural dynamics that shape disputes.
The session is intended for arbitration professionals, in-house counsel and academics seeking a grounded perspective on regional practice.
Moderated by Miya Benjelloun with opening and closing remarks by Amel Makhlouf, Hafez Virjee and Adel Al Beldjilali-Bekkairi, the panel brings together North African practitioners with cross-jurisdictional training and active experience in the region, including: Yasmine Chouari, Adam Malek, Zyad Loutfi, Mohamed Gamal, Mounia Larbaoui, Munia El Harti Alonso, Sally El Sawah, and Yosr B.
Tarek advises on complex cross-border disputes and is regularly instructed as counsel and expert witness in international commercial arbitrations and local court proceedings in Libya.
