At the Libya Energy & Economic Summit this weekend, Eltumi Partners was proud to have our firm in attendance in full force, and have our two partners, Tarek Eltumi and Ahmed M. Gaddah, speak on panels at this significant event in Libya’s energy calendar.
Founding partner, Tarek Eltumi, moderated a panel on Libya’s renewable energy potential, where the discussion covered subjects including the regulatory landscape and paths towards driving greater private sector investment.
Ahmed Gaddah in turn, spoke as part of a panel relating to financing of Libya’s energy projects. The topics he and fellow panellists discussed included pathways to drawing in more private sector investment across the value chain, developing partnerships with international lenders and ensuring Libya projects are competitive.
Both topics are set to become key areas to watch in Libya’s immediate and longer-term future.
As Libya seeks to emerge as a major energy market on the global stage, and in particular in relation to Europe, the need for it to drive development in its renewables sector and increase competitiveness in energy projects will be paramount.
